Ligue 1 (Week 37) : Saint-Etienne beats Evian 2-1
FRANCE, May. 16, 2015 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 37: Two wins in a row for Saint-Etienne. After their 5-0 win against Nice on May 10, Saint-Etienne continued their sensational form in the Ligue 1 with a 2-1 victory over Evian this Saturday.
Max-Alain Gradel scored dual goals
Saint-Etienne forward Max-Alain Gradel opened the score in the 12th minute, before seeing Evian catch up in the 42nd minute thanks to Mathieu Duhamel. 1-1 at half time. Saint-Etienne eventually won the game in the second period with with another goal by Gradel on penalty with just 8 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Saint-Etienne remains in fifth place with 66 points from 37 games, tie on points with Olympique de Marseille.
