FRANCE, Aug. 12, 2016 (AMP) — Ligue 1: Monaco and Guingamp opened the 2016-2017 season with an entertaining 2-2 draw on Friday.

Guingamp players started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Diallo ('29) and Privat ('37). However, even though they were leading 2-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Monaco with goals by Fabinho ('71 on penalty) and Bernardo Silva ('84).
