Ligue 2 (Week 15) : Valenciennes beats Bourg-Peronnas 3-1
FRANCE, Nov. 17, 2017 (AMP) — Ligue 2 / Match day 15: After their 0-0 draw against Brest on November 3, the Athenians returned to winning ways with a 3-1 victory over Bourg-Peronnas this Friday.
Mauricio Tony scored dual goals
Merdji Yanis opened the score in the 14th minute, before seeing Valenciennes catch up in the 37th minute thanks to Mauricio Tony. 1-1 at half time. The Athenians eventually won the game in the second period with two more goals by Guezoui Medhy ('58) and Mauricio Tony ('90).
Valenciennes FC climbed to 11st place with 21 points from 15 games, only one point behind Stade Brest, which has a game in hand.
