MLS : Philadelphia defeats Columbus 3-0
UNITED STATES, Jul. 26, 2017 (AMP) — MLS: After losing 2-1 to Montreal Impact on July 22 and 1-0 to Columbus Crew on July 22, The U returned to winning ways with a 3-0 victory over Columbus Crew this Wednesday.
Philadelphia Union dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Ilsinho Pereira in the 20th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, The U further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Sapong Charles '66 and Epps Marcus '81).
Columbus Crew SC remains in 9th place with 31 points from 22 games, one point behind New York Red Bulls, which has two games in hand.
