NOUMEA, Feb. 25, 1980 (AMP) — New Caledonia 1980 : The Fiji defeated the Solomon Islands by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a OFC Nations Cup group stage game on Monday at the Numa Daly Stadium in Noumea.
The result put the Fijians top of Group A with 2 points. In their next game, the Fiji will meet third-placed New Zealand at the Numa Daly Stadium on February 27, while the Solomon Islands will face Tahiti.
