ENGLAND, Aug. 17, 2014 (AMP) — Premier League: Liverpool won their first game of season against Southampton.
Liverpool dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Raheem Sterling in the 23rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Reds further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Sturridge in the 79th minute.
