ITALY, Sep. 10, 2017 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 3: After losing 3-0 to Inter Milan on August 27 and 1-2 to Sampdoria on August 27, the Viola bounced back with a 5-0 victory over Hellas Verona this Sunday.
Fiorentina dominated the first half thanks to goals from Simeone Giovanni ('2), Théreau ('10 on penalty) and Astori ('23). Leading 3-0 at the break, the Viola further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Veretout '62 and Dias Gil '89).
ACF Fiorentina climbed to 10th place with 3 points from 3 games, only one point behind SPAL Ferrara.
