Czechoslovakia beats Germany to reach World Cup final
ROME, Jun. 3, 1934 (AMP) — Italy 1934 : Czechoslovakia reached the FIFA World Cup final for the very first time in their history with a 3-1 win against Germany (halftime: 1-0) on Sunday afternoon at the Stadio Nazionale del PNF in Rome.
Oldrich Nejedlý scored tripple goals
Czechoslovakia dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Oldrich Nejedlý in the 19th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Czechoslovaks further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Nejedlý '71, '80).
