GENOA, May. 27, 1934 (AMP) — Italy 1934 : Spain qualified to the quarter-finals of the 1934 FIFA World Cup with a 3-1 win against Brazil (halftime: 3-0) on Sunday afternoon at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium in Genoa.
José Iraragorri scored dual goals
Spain dominated the first half thanks to goals from Iraragorri ('18 on penalty, '25) and Lángara ('29). Leading 3-0 at the break, the Spaniards further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by in the th minute.
