MARSEILLE, Jun. 16, 1938 (AMP) — France 1938 : Italy reached the FIFA World Cup final for the second time in their history with a 2-1 win against Brazil (halftime: 0-0) on Thursday night at the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille.
45 minutes of play and neither the Italians nor the Brazilians have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Colaussi ('51) and Meazza ('60 on penalty).
