SOLNA, Jun. 19, 1958 (AMP) — Sweden 58 : Sweden reached the semifinals of the 1958 FIFA World Cup with a 2-0 win against USSR (halftime: 0-0) on Thursday night at the Rasunda Stadium in Solna.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Hamrin ('49) and Simonsson ('88).
