ARICA, Jun. 10, 1962 (AMP) — Chile 62 : Chile reached the semifinals of the 1962 FIFA World Cup with a 2-1 win against USSR (halftime: 2-1) on Sunday afternoon at the Carlos Dittborn Stadium in Arica.
All the action happened in the first half, with goals from Leonel Sánchez ('11) and Eladio Rojas ('29).
