SANTIAGO, Jun. 13, 1962 (AMP) — Chile 62 : Brazil reached the FIFA World Cup final for the second time in their history with a 4-2 win against Chile (halftime: 2-1) on Wednesday afternoon at the Estadio Nacional de Chile in Santiago.
Garrincha and Vavá scored dual goals
Brazil dominated the first half thanks to goals from Garrincha ('9, '32). Leading 2-1 at the break, the Brazilians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Vavá '47, '78).
