KHARTOUM, May. 11, 1969 (AMP) — Mexico 70 (African Qualifiers) : Sudan defeated Ethiopia by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-0), in the second leg of a qualifying game on Sunday. Sudan, who tied 1-1 in the first leg, advance to the next round of the ongoing FIFA World Cup. Ethiopia is eliminated.
