BOGOTá, Aug. 6, 1969 (AMP) — Mexico 70 (South American Qualifiers) : Brazil defeated Colombia by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 1970 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday.

The result put the Colombians top of Group 2 with 3 points. In their next game, Colombia will meet second-placed Paraguay on August 10, while Brazil will face Venezuela.
