CARACAS, Aug. 10, 1969 (AMP) — Mexico 70 (South American Qualifiers) : Brazil defeated Venezuela by a big score of 5-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 1970 FIFA World Cup on Sunday.

The result put the Brazilians top of Group 2 with 4 points. Venezuela is bottom with one point. In their next game, Brazil will meet second-placed Paraguay on August 17, while Venezuela will face Paraguay.
