RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug. 21, 1969 (AMP) — Mexico 70 (South American Qualifiers) : Brazil defeated Colombia by a big score of 6-2 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 1970 FIFA World Cup on Thursday.

The result put the Brazilians top of Group 2 with 8 points. Colombia is third with 3 points. In their next game, Brazil will meet Venezuela on August 24, while Colombia will face Paraguay.
