TEHERAN, May. 6, 1973 (AMP) — Germany 74 (Asian Qualifiers) : Iran defeated Kuwait by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 1974 FIFA World Cup on Sunday.
The result put the Iranians second in Group B2 with 3 points. Kuwait is bottom with no points. In their next game, Iran will meet group leaders Syria on May 8, while Kuwait will face North Korea.
