AUCKLAND, May. 23, 1981 (AMP) — Spain 82 (Asian Qualifiers) : New Zealand defeated Indonesia by a big score of 5-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 1982 FIFA World Cup on Saturday.
The result put the New Zealander top of Group 1 with 10 points. Indonesia is bottom with no points. In their next game, New Zealand will meet third-placed Taiwan on May 30, while Indonesia will face the Fiji.
