AUCKLAND, May. 30, 1981 (AMP) — Spain 82 (Asian Qualifiers) : New Zealand defeated Taiwan by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 1982 FIFA World Cup on Saturday.
The result put the New Zealander top of Group 1 with 12 points. Taiwan is third with one point. In their last game, New Zealand will meet the Fiji on August 16, while Taiwan will face the Fiji.
