SUVA, Jun. 6, 1981 (AMP) — Spain 82 (Asian Qualifiers) : The Fiji defeated Taiwan by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 1982 FIFA World Cup on Saturday.
The result put the Fijians third in Group 1 with 3 points. Taiwan is fourth with one point. In their next game, the Fiji will meet second-placed Australia on July 26, while Taiwan will face Australia.
