BRUSSELS, Feb. 18, 1981 (AMP) — Spain 82 (European Qualifiers) : Belgium defeated Cyprus by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 1982 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday.
The result put the Belgians second in Group 2 with 7 points. Cyprus is bottom with no points. In their next game, Belgium will meet group leaders Ireland on March 25, while Cyprus will face the Netherlands.
