MILAN, Jun. 24, 1990 (AMP) — Italy 90 : Germany qualified to the quarter-finals of the 1990 FIFA World Cup with a 2-1 win against the Netherlands (halftime: 0-0) on Sunday night at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan.
45 minutes of play and neither the Germans nor the Dutchs have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Klinsmann ('51) and Brehme ('82).
