ROME, Jun. 30, 1990 (AMP) — Italy 90 : Italy reached the semifinals of the 1990 FIFA World Cup with a 1-0 win against Ireland (halftime: 1-0) on Saturday night at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
All the action happened in the first half, with Italian striker Salvatore Schillaci goal in the 38th minute.
