HONG KONG, May. 27, 1989 (AMP) — Italy 90 (Asian Qualifiers) : North Korea defeated Hong Kong by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 1990 FIFA World Cup on Saturday.
The result put the Koreans top of Group 6 with 3 points. Hong Kong is bottom with one point. In their next game, North Korea will meet second-placed Japan on June 4, while Hong Kong will face Indonesia.
