AUCKLAND, Dec. 15, 1988 (AMP) — Italy 90 (Oceania Qualifiers) : New Zealand defeated Taiwan by a score of 4-1 (halftime: 3-0), in the second leg of a qualifying game on Thursday. New Zealand, who won the first leg (4-0), advance to the next round of the ongoing FIFA World Cup. Taiwan is eliminated.
