BELGRADE, Dec. 11, 1988 (AMP) — Italy 90 (European Qualifiers) : Yugoslavia defeated Cyprus by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 3-0), in a qualifying game for the 1990 FIFA World Cup on Sunday.
The result put the Yugoslav top of Group 5 with 5 points. Cyprus is bottom with one point. In their next game, Yugoslavia will meet third-placed France on April 29, while Cyprus will face Scotland.
