OSLO, Jun. 14, 1989 (AMP) — Italy 90 (European Qualifiers) : Yugoslavia defeated Norway by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 1990 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday.

The result put the Yugoslav second in Group 5 with 8 points. Norway is third with 4 points. In their next game, Yugoslavia will meet group leaders Scotland on September 6, while Norway will face France.
