PASADENA, Jul. 3, 1994 (AMP) — USA 94 : Romania qualified to the quarter-finals of the 1994 FIFA World Cup with a 3-2 win against Argentina (halftime: 2-1) on Sunday afternoon at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
Ilie Dumitrescu scored dual goals
Romania dominated the first half thanks to goals from Dumitrescu ('11, '18). Leading 2-1 at the break, the Romanians further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Hagi in the 58th minute.
