QUITO, Aug. 8, 1993 (AMP) — USA 94 (South American Qualifiers) : Ecuador defeated Venezuela by a big score of 5-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 1994 FIFA World Cup on Sunday.
The result put the Ecuadorians second in Group B with 5 points. Venezuela is bottom with no points. In their next game, Ecuador will meet group leaders Bolivia on August 15, while Venezuela will face Bolivia.
