DAMMAM, Feb. 12, 2001 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (Asian Qualifiers) : Bangladesh defeated Mongolia by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2002 FIFA World Cup on Monday night.
The result put the Bangladeshi second in Group 10 with 4 points. Mongolia is bottom with one point. In their next game, Bangladesh will meet third-placed Vietnam on February 15, while Mongolia will face Saudi Arabia.
