DAMMAM, Feb. 17, 2001 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (Asian Qualifiers) : Vietnam defeated Mongolia by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 3-0), in a qualifying game for the 2002 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night.
The result put the Vietnamese second in Group 10 with 8 points. Mongolia is bottom with one point. In their last game, Vietnam will meet group leaders Saudi Arabia on February 19, while Mongolia will face Bangladesh.
