KUWET CITY, Feb. 24, 2001 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (Asian Qualifiers) : Kuwait defeated Kyrgyzstan by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2002 FIFA World Cup on Saturday afternoon.
The result put the Kuwaiti top of Group 4 with 11 points. Kyrgyzstan is bottom with one point. In their last game, Kuwait will meet second-placed Bahrain on February 27, while Kyrgyzstan will face Singapore.
