BEIRUT, May. 13, 2001 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (Asian Qualifiers) : Thailand defeated Sri Lanka by a score of 4-2 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2002 FIFA World Cup on Sunday afternoon.
The result put the Thai top of Group 5 with 3 points. In their next game, Thailand will meet Pakistan on May 15, while Sri Lanka will face Lebanon.
