BEIRUT, May. 15, 2001 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (Asian Qualifiers) : Thailand defeated Pakistan by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2002 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night.
The result put the Thai top of Group 5 with 6 points. Pakistan is bottom with no points. In their next game, Thailand will meet second-placed Lebanon on May 17, while Pakistan will face Sri Lanka.
