BANGKOK, May. 28, 2001 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (Asian Qualifiers) : Thailand defeated Pakistan by a big score of 6-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2002 FIFA World Cup on Monday night.
The result put the Thai top of Group 5 with 15 points. Pakistan is bottom with one point. In their last game, Thailand will meet second-placed Lebanon on May 30, while Pakistan will face Sri Lanka.
