BAGHDAD, Apr. 14, 2001 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (Asian Qualifiers) : Iraq defeated Nepal by a big score of 9-1 (halftime: 5-1), in a qualifying game for the 2002 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night.
The result put the Iraqi top of Group 6 with 6 points. Nepal is bottom with no points. In their next game, Iraq will meet second-placed Kazakhstan on April 16, while Nepal will face Macau.
