TASHKENT, Apr. 25, 2001 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (Asian Qualifiers) : Jordan defeated Taiwan by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2002 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday afternoon.
The result put the Jordanians third in Group 7 with 3 points. Taiwan is bottom with no points. In their next game, Jordan will meet group leaders Uzbekistan on April 27, while Taiwan will face Turkmenistan.
