AMMAN, May. 3, 2001 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (Asian Qualifiers) : Jordan defeated Taiwan by a big score of 6-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2002 FIFA World Cup on Thursday afternoon.
The result put the Jordanians second in Group 7 with 7 points. Taiwan is bottom with no points. In their next game, Jordan will meet third-placed Turkmenistan on May 5, while Taiwan will face Uzbekistan.
