AMMAN, May. 5, 2001 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (Asian Qualifiers) : Turkmenistan defeated Jordan by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2002 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night.
The result put the Turkmens second in Group 7 with 9 points. Jordan is third with 7 points. In their last game, Turkmenistan will meet Taiwan on May 7, while Jordan will face Uzbekistan.
