DUBAI, May. 4, 2001 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (Asian Qualifiers) : The United Arab Emirates defeated Brunei by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2002 FIFA World Cup on Friday night.
The result put the Emirati top of Group 8 with 9 points. Brunei is bottom with no points. In their next game, the United Arab Emirates will meet second-placed Yemen on May 11, while Brunei will face India.
