RIYADH, Aug. 17, 2001 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (Asian Qualifiers) : Saudi Arabia tied 1-1 with Bahrain (halftime: 0-1), in a qualifying game for the 2002 FIFA World Cup on Friday night.
The result left both teams tied in the second place of Group A with one point. In their next game, Bahrain will meet group leaders Iraq on August 23, while Saudi Arabia will face Iran.
