BANGUI, Apr. 9, 2000 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (African Qualifiers) : Zimbabwe defeated the Central African Republic by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the first leg of a World Cup qualifier tie on Sunday afternoon.

The second leg between the Central African Republic and Zimbabwe will be played on Sunday April 23, 2000 (kick-off: 15:00) in Harare.
