FREETOWN, Mar. 10, 2001 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (African Qualifiers) : Sudan defeated Sierra Leone by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2002 FIFA World Cup on Saturday afternoon.
The result put the Sudanese second in Group B with 9 points. Sierra Leone is bottom with no points. In their next game, Sudan will meet group leaders Liberia on April 22, while Sierra Leone will face Nigeria.
