PARAMARIBO, Mar. 19, 2000 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (American Qualifiers) : Suriname defeated Saint Lucia on penalties 3-1, after the match ended 1-1 in regulation time, in the second leg of a qualifying game on Sunday night. Suriname, who lost the first leg (0-1), advance to the next round of the ongoing FIFA World Cup. Saint Lucia is eliminated.
