BOSTON, Jun. 20, 2001 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (American Qualifiers) : The United States defeated Trinidad and Tobago by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2002 FIFA World Cup (Final) on Wednesday night.
The result put the Americans top of the group with 13 points. Trinidad and Tobago is bottom with one point. In their next game, the United States will meet Mexico on July 1, while Trinidad and Tobago will face Jamaica.
