PORT-OF-SPAIN, Jun. 30, 2001 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (American Qualifiers) : Jamaica defeated Trinidad and Tobago by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2002 FIFA World Cup (Final) on Saturday afternoon.

The result put the Jamaicans fourth in the group with 8 points. Trinidad and Tobago is bottom with one point. In their next game, Jamaica will meet Mexico on September 2, while Trinidad and Tobago will face Costa Rica.
