PORT-OF-SPAIN, Aug. 16, 2000 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (American Qualifiers) : Trinidad and Tobago defeated Panama by a big score of 6-0 (halftime: 3-0), in a qualifying game for the 2002 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday afternoon.
The result put the Trinidadians top of Group C with 9 points. Panama is bottom with one point. In their next game, Trinidad and Tobago will meet third-placed Canada on September 3, while Panama will face Mexico.
