MARACAIBO, Apr. 26, 2000 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (South American Qualifiers) : Argentina defeated Venezuela by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2002 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Wednesday night.

The result put the Argentine top of the group with 6 points. Venezuela is bottom with no points. In their next game, Argentina will meet Bolivia on June 4, while Venezuela will face Colombia.
