BOGOTá, Oct. 7, 2000 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (South American Qualifiers) : Paraguay defeated Colombia by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2002 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Saturday afternoon.
The result put the Paraguayans second in the group with 17 points. Colombia is third with 15 points. In their next game, Paraguay will meet Peru on November 15, while Colombia will face Brazil.
